AGISTIN Partner Showcases Project Developments to International Delegation

Representatives from Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Spain’s CDTI Innovación – Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación visited the Centre for Renewable Energy Development (CEDER-CIEMAT) facilities, in the Northeast Spain on the 19th June.

CEDER-CIEMAT, a public research institution in Spain, is one of the partners of the AGISTIN project, involved in the testing of an redox flow battery and advance grid interface in pumping applications. These solutions will be used in the Spanish demonstration pilot to demonstrate the potential of using irrigation systems as an energy storage medium.

During the visit, CEDER-CIEMAT experts provided a general overview of the AGISTIN project and its progress, presenting detailed information on the implementation of a cutting-edge microgrid incorporating innovative technologies, notably including a redox flow battery storage system.

The visit aimed to strengthen international collaboration and explore future sinergies.
